15 Can't Miss KY Boutiques

I am proud to say that I am from Kentucky, and that my roots were developed in the Bluegrass state! I truly believe that it is a gem of a state with so many attractions for everyone! One of my personal favorites is the selection of amazing boutiques! People laugh when I say that I take trips home to go shopping, but it's true and I'm excited to share some of my favorites with you!

Let's talk about the Louisville area first!

The majority of my favorites are in the Middletown, or East end. I guarantee that you can find nearly anything you are looking for in this area!

Two Chicks and Co - This is one of the original boutiques of Louisville, and feels like home to me! They recently expanded and have twice the amount of square footage that I grew up visiting. From special home decor, unique gifts, fun clothes or accessories, seasonal items, Derby gear, and so much more - Two Chicks has it all! Bonus points - they are right next door to The Cheddar Box Cafe, which is a top notch lunch destination!

Chick a D’s - The best home decor and gift spot! Their logo is the cutest little chick who is so happy! This is a go-to for all Swig drink wear, scout bags, Happy Everything, Nora Fleming, and so many other favorites! A secret treat here is their cat named Mary who roams around the store. Don't worry, if you're not a cat person she is typically hiding or outside, but she can certainly sense her cat lovers!

Gather - This is one of the most unique home stores, and I love them so much that I bought countless pieces of furniture and had them brought to my new house in NC! They have some of my favorite smelling candles, beautiful plants, and walking through the store is an instant mood booster!

Darling State of Mind - They have several locations around Louisville, although I am partial to the Middletown location. You can browse a fantastic assortment of clothing, along with tons of fun earrings, and adorable gift items! They have a variety of bags, seasonal decor, Tyler candles, plus some treats for the littles in your life as well. It's definitely a can't miss stop!

3 Willows - This cute shop is primarily clothing, but the best part is they have a very wide variety of sizes! Everyone will find a cute trendy item, at an affordable price, that is perfect for your next event or daily wear!

Prickly Pear - They might be tiny, but they have a lot of treasures! I love stocking up on jewelry, funny and witty gift items, KY home decor, and more in this sweet spot!

Magnolia and Fig - This amazing clothing store is run by one of my high school classmates, and she has poured her heart and soul into it! They recently opened their newest location in an older area of the city, and visiting is a whole experience. You will certainly find the perfect clothing item, accessories, and more!

This is just a small collection of Louisville stores, but some of my favorites! Now, let's move on to Lexington!

Front Porch - This was the first Lexington store that I ever remember finding and simply falling in love with every single aspect! It's impossible to walk in and not instantly smile. They carry many of the popular lines of gifting items, in addition to endless variety and unique treasures. From clothing and accessories, to pillows, bags, Happy Everything, Nora Fleming, Lilly Pulitzer, Scout, home decor, seasonal items, candles, and so much more - they truly have something for everyone! I adore their employees, and they always have an amazing Christmas display!

Queen Bee - A gem of a store that is nearly impossible to see everything at first glance! This is one of my go to favorites for jewelry or the newest item to display on a bookshelf around my house. I love their unique clothing and I have a handful of wall art done by local artists! The staff are the sweetest and I simply cannot make a KY trip without including Queen Bee!

Pirie/Cotton Patch - These are technically two stores, but they are connected to each other. They are both clothing, with Pirie catered more toward the younger crown and Cotton Patch more for older or more sophisticated crowd! Pirie has the best table of earrings, the store is usually mapped out by color, and they have the sweetest doggie employees! The owner went to my same small college (go Centre!!) so that's an added bonus!

Peacocks and Pearls - A can't miss clothing destination! They feature a new collection each Thursday, have super affordable prices, and the absolute cutest items! They also have a fabulous shoe wall, and selection of UK apparel that isn't your everyday athletic wear. Another of my top favs!

Violets - Such a sweet gifting location! This has been one of my more recent finds, and is very close to one of my first Lexington apartments. They typically have an adorable collection of grand millennial style decor, fun jewelry, clothing, awesome bags, and cute party style items. I love their rings with interchangeable stones!

Ada and Lo - Another fun catch all style boutique! They recently began carrying clothing, in addition to their home decor, glassware, coffee table books, and more. Each year they have the best booth at the Lexington holiday market!

Blushery - This is a one of a kind must see boutique! They have the absolute cutest and best setup inside, with a wine bar, seating area, and shopping! What more could you ask for?! They have a membership for their wine slushies, and it makes the perfect girls' night destination. Plus, the store smells amazing! I have a slight obsession with the unique clothing finds I've stocked up on from here!

Joseph Beth - Ok, so this is not technically a boutique, but I couldn't leave it off my list! Joseph Beth is a local bookstore, that is so much more than just books! It's truly an experience, with a restaurant, an entire floor for kids, tons of gift items, and the best vibe ever. I could spend days here, and it instantly transplants me back in time!

These are only a selection of my go-to's in Louisville and Lexington, but I promise if you visit any or all of them, you will not be disappointed! Have you been to my fabulous home state?! What was your favorite part?
